“I’m Christian, unless you’re gay.”
This is the title of a riveting article by Dan Pearce, author of Single Dad Laughing and a man who claims to not be religious. In this post, he tells of a gay friend who is struggling over the backlash he’s received from his friends, family and the Church.
Dan puts my heart in such eloquent words and has an interesting perspective as one not belonging to any religious community.
Friends, what perception are we allowing others to see? Why does the world know only three main things about Christianity – that we’re judgmental, hypocritical and that God hates the gays?
Praying, with all my might that things continue to change. That the Church decides to be better. And that God’s love can effectively shine to the four corners without His Church blocking it.
